What is Rhodamine WT?
Rhodamine WT is a synthetic red to pink dye having brilliant fluorescent qualities with molecular formula C29H29N2O5ClNa2 and CAS Number: 37299-86-8. It is also known as Acid Red #388. Further,It is often used as a tracer within water to determine the rate and direction of flow and transport. Rhodamine dyes fluoresce and can thus be measured easily and inexpensively with instruments called fluorometers. Rhodamine dyes are generally toxic, and are soluble in water, methanol, and ethanol.
